Absorbent Pillows are an easily applied and recovered, small and compact, miniature boom-style absorbent 20 cm diameter by 0.5 meter in length
This size allows the Pillow to be applied in a variety of on-land and in-water applications for small to medium, and in some controlled cases, larger spills
The Pillow is designed for rapid application as it can quickly be deployed to combat a spill while utilizing maximum encounter rates
Pillows can easily be tossed into location if not strategically positioned by hand for maximum effectiveness
Pillows differ from Booms as they are individual Absorbents and differ from Socks as they are smaller in length and can be placed within strategic areas of a spill on-land or within a boom in-water independently
Pillows can be placed inside a controlled area of a spill for maximum encounter and recovery efficiency
The Pillow is easily maneuvered due to its size, it also is equipped with a Carabiner clip, similar to the boom, allowing it to act as a connection/intermediary between boom sections or to create sections of pillows with increased surface area for maximum retention in generally smaller areas
